This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending a one-day masterclass hosted by none other than Deonna âDee Micheleâ Fletcher, better known in the beauty world as the Invisible K-Tips Queen. From the moment I walked into the space in Atlanta , I knew this wasnât going to be your typical beauty training. And by the time we wrapped up at 6 PM, my notebook (and my mindset) were both overflowing.

More Than a Technique â A Business Blueprint
The Invisible K-Tips Hair Extensions Masterclass went far beyond installation methods. Yes, Deeâs technique is flawless (and now I understand why so many celebrities trust her hands), but this class was about so much more. It was about ownership. Legacy. Power.
âStylists who attend the Invisible K-Tips Hair Extensions Masterclass will leave with much more than technical skills,â Dee shared. âTheyâll walk away with a blueprint for building a successful, sustainable business.â
And thatâs exactly what we did.
From branding to pricing strategies, client communication to payment systems, Dee delivered actionable knowledge every step of the way. She broke down how to position ourselves as experts â not just service providers â and how to scale our brands with intention and clarity.
Star Power Meets Purpose
Adding to the electric energy of the day were Yandy Smith-Harris and Kendra Robinson of Love & Hip Hop, who joined the event to drop real gems about entrepreneurship, resilience, and using your platform to empower others. Their presence felt aligned with Deeâs mission: Beauty is Business. Their stories reminded us that visibility and voice matter â especially for women of color building their own empires.

Packaging Your Passion into Profit
One of the most powerful lessons Dee shared was how to package and present your services (or your own masterclasses) to attract high-end clients and long-term success. She emphasized that true wealth comes not just from talent, but from having the systems, the confidence, and the strategy to back it up.
Dee said something that really stuck with me:
âThe future of beauty entrepreneurship is all about specialization, scalability, and storytelling.â
It made me realize that clients arenât just looking for hair â theyâre looking for transformation, connection, and a brand they can trust.

A Movement Rooted in Empowerment
Dee Michele is not just a stylist â sheâs a force. A licensed cosmetologist with over 20 years of experience, a mother of four, and a businesswoman who is reshaping the beauty industry, one stylist at a time. From her elite clientele (like Keyshia Cole and Jayda Cheaves) to her soon-to-open 8,000-square-foot luxury salon in NYC, sheâs proving that you can lead with both artistry and authority.
The salon industry is booming â valued at $122 billion in 2024 and projected to hit $230.5 billion by 2034 â and Dee is making sure we donât just participate in that growth, but own a piece of it.
Final Thoughts
Walking into the masterclass, I expected to learn a few new techniques. But walking out, I felt like I had been given the keys to a kingdom I didnât even know I was ready to build.
If youâre a stylist looking to elevate not just your skills, but your mindset, brand, and future â this is the kind of space you need to be in.
Thank you, Dee Michele, for creating a room where beauty and business truly meet. And thank you for reminding us that our hands create more than hairstyles â they build legacies.
