Garden of Hip Hop Fest

On November 11, 2023, the Garden of Hip Hop Festival took center stage, lighting up Atlanta's music scene with an unparalleled display of energy and excitement. Hosted by Shar Bates and Fort Knox at Terry Skywalker’s Bonfire ATL, this gathering honored legends DJ Scream and NuFace. District 58 State Representative Park Cannon, through Porchse Miller, paid tribute to these icons, with support from sponsors Georgia Spartans and Keith Phillips from Black Box Art Gallery.

The festival featured an incredible lineup, including @norrisgurganious @renegade_el_rey @charlisej @daneekstar @bonitasings @2point0tnt @onemoon.omg @lynn_tate @ydktm1 @the_champp @bobbicool, each adding their distinct musical style to the vibrant tapestry of the event. DJs Swamp Izzo, Dj Knotts, and ATL's own DJ Calvin Da Coordinator set the stage ablaze with their beats, while the festival offered more than just music.

Attendees were treated to a diverse range of activities, from engaging DJ classes to graffiti workshops, live interviews, meditation sessions, and field day activities by Faith First Fitness. Notable figures like Shar Bates and DJ Scream conducted live interviews, while Toni Jones graced the event with a captivating performance. There were educational sessions on gardening by Ultra Black Farmer and breakdancing classes by Tomafit.

The festival also featured a special exhibit with Hip Hop memorabilia from NuFace, gaming tournaments, holistic health vendors, cannabis business education, and arts & crafts, fostering a space where creativity and community thrived.

The palpable energy, eclectic performances, and the acknowledgment of figures like DJ Scream and NuFace made this festival a genuine celebration of Hip Hop's core, bringing enthusiasts and artists together for an unforgettable experience.
