Kevin Gates Drops “Stutter” — A Visual That Empowers NgbDon as the Right Hand to the One in Command

Kevin Gates’ new single “Stutter” firmly establishes his rank as commander-in-chief — saying what he means and making it clear he doesn’t need to repeat himself to know his authority is heard. It’s a fun record, with a comedic twist in the visuals — leading social in excitement for the release.

The video was shot in Compton, set in a militant-style scene that instantly commands respect — from the industry, the fans, and the ladies. With Gates making noise all across social media and recent music moves, he’s clearly bringing the pressure of a living legend. And he’s doing it while looking and feeling his best, both spiritually and physically.

The scene captures a military vibe — sharp, aggressive, and intentional. Gates is layered in diamonds, not just around his neck but in every move he makes. And his smile? Bright enough to light up the whole set. The record features NgbDon, a rising artist and viral comedian from Little Rock, Arkansas, who’s turning heads with polished music and an unforgettable presence. His speech impediment isn’t a setback — it’s part of what makes him stand out.

Kevin Gates has a special connection with Little Rock, as it was a pivotal part of his early career. This makes his collaboration with NgbDon all the more monumental — knowing Little Rock gave Gates a chance to rise, and now he’s paying it forward by giving Don the same opportunity.

This isn’t just a feature — Gates proclaimed NgbDon as his Protégé, the right-hand man to the one in charge. Gates delivers the commands, and Don brings the fire — doing all the stuttering with style. Their chemistry in the video is real. Gates keeps that boss energy while NgbDon adds a raw youthfulness. Their vibe is contagious, high-frequency, and leaves every scene flaming.

The entire crew brought fun, light energy that tapped into Kevin Gates’ inner child. As he’s said before, “If I can’t be myself and channel my inner child around you, I don’t want you around.” That spirit flowed throughout the set. Everyone showed up with authenticity, and it shows in every frame. This wasn’t just a video — it was an energy shift.

Choreography was directed by TATI of RAW CREATIVE, who brought sharp, clean movement that added rhythm and seductiveness to the scenes. Holding it down on set were BWA regulars like Jamil Alleyne and Bandcamp, each playing their part in the vision. Danny Pearson, part of Gates’ personal security team, kept the space secure and tight, making sure the energy stayed focused and positive. John Will, Gates’ supportive manager, was present as always, keeping everything moving with intention. “This One Time at Band Camp,” BWA’s official creative director, was instrumental in capturing behind-the-scenes footage, meticulously documenting every moment. Glassie Cassie, a talented photographer from Atlanta, provided behind-the-scenes support for NgbDon, while Jacen Carpenter captured footage following Danny Pearson. It was a balanced collaboration — everyone doing their part to ensure no moment went uncaptured.

The vision was brought to life by director Damien Sandoval and his production crew that was overly committed to seeing the visual through from start to finish. The creative direction was tight, clean, and true to who Gates is — and who he’s becoming.

The release was backed by Jordan Garrett and Corey Calder from Artist Partner Group (APG), locking in the label support to take “Stutter” all the way to the highest peak beyond Bread Winner mountain.

“Stutter” new video is officially out today. But more than a video — it’s a movie. Kevin Gates is focused, charged up, and moving with purpose. NgbDon is right there with him. From bread winner mountain to the world — this is a highly anticipated release.
