Atlanta International Fashion Week Celebrates 16 Years with 2023 Season

Fashion takes flight at Atlanta International Fashion Week this week! From September 26th-October 1st, the 2023 Season of Atlanta Fashion Week kicks off with showings from designers who are bridging the gap and connecting continents through fashion.



Celebrating 16 Years of Operation and Serving, Atlanta International Fashion Week will be strutting through the city with runway shows, live entertainment, learning sessions, and network events to bridge the gap and connect continents through fashion. Over the next six days, this star-studded affair will be entertaining and designed to benefit local and national charities all in the name of fashion.


Formerly a Talent and Model Agent, Founder Paula Whittle, created AIFW in 2007 to re-invent and create a Fashion Apprentice Mentorship Program to bring more opportunities in Fashion to Atlanta.


"Fashion is the heartbeat of style and the driving force of our society. Aspiring designers, models and enthusiasts needed a platform and outlet for networking, promotion, and presentations," she told In The City Magazine in an Exclusive Interview for the October Volume.


First held at the Georgia World Congress Center, AIFW has featured catwalk favorites of Balmain, Kenzo, Maison Margiela, Balenciaga, White House Black Market, Roberto Cavalli, Trina Turk, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Juicy Couture, Rock & Republic, Sean John, Ed Hardy, Dereon, True Religion, Akademiks, Apple Bottoms, Ecko, Baby Phat, Rocawear, Phat Farm, Ashley Stewart, Enyce, LRG and many more among countless independent designers.


This years celebration is sure to bring out the stars with shows tapping into the art of hip hop, luxury and tech! With presentations from Marlo Hampton , Le Archive, Catherine's Closet, Priyal Doshi Couture, Oyemwen and 7Furs&Leather By Kash Howard.

Atlanta Mayor, Andre Dickens welcomed attendees to the city with an official letter.


"We take great pride in our diverse population. It is essential as we move Atlanta forward to recognize and commemorate the strength and contributions of all our communities," he welcomed.
