On Sunday, March 31, 2024, event experience curator + operations extraordinaire, Sheriè P held the second event of her series, Men’s Appreciation: “Secure the Bag”; inspired by her client, Yung Joc and the men who are doing amazing things for others all throughout the community. The goal is to express thanks for their contributions to our lives. The event was held at Distinguished Gentlemen’s Grooming Bar, a men’s salon in McDonough right outside of Atlanta. Hosted by Yung Joc, notable guests in attendance included Freeway Ricky Ross, Hot Boy Turk, financial gurus AshCash and Mr. Phenomenal, ATL Hip Hop Historian NuFace, 2024 Congress candidate Councilman Dr. Mark Baker, and many more!

The men indulged in self-care packages that included massages provided by Miso Natural Wellness Spa and complimentary cigars courtesy of House of Cigars. Following the theme “Secure the Bag”, Financial powerhouses Mr. Phenomenal, AshCash, and Joe Kellogg were present to educate the men on how to use their finances to their advantage! Additionally, there was the contribution of the Atlanta Counseling Brothers; two black male therapists who were actively accepting new clients were in attendance to encourage, uplift, and highlight the importance of preserving men’s mental health. Each guest left with not just relaxation, but resources to help restore and advance them personally as well as professionally. The goal of the event this time was to educate the guests while reaffirming that men are valued, loved, and most of all, appreciated. She poured in and they received! By the end, they were all wondering when’s the next one. Safe to say, Goal Achieved. Keep your eyes peeled for part 3 of the Men’s Appreciation series.
