Sheen Magazine Lights up the Illuminarium with ATL Hip Hop Stars during 9th Annual Magazine Awards

On Thursday the stars of beauty, entrepreneurship and music graced the 9th Annual Sheen Magazine Awards in their best Chic and Sexy Attire.

Sheen Magazine Awards celebrated the budding and established talent working and thriving in the Entertainment Sector of Atlanta. According to their website, SHEEN Magazine is The Ultimate Beauty Guide for the modern day woman and a preeminent voice within the beauty industry. Published bi-monthly, the nationally and internationally distributed publication has consistently proven to be a media influencer, able to provide the latest up to date news and current trends within, but not limited to, the world of beauty, fashion, hair, and entertainment.

Sponsored by G.L.A.M Body Scrubs, Wonder Spray, Holy Kiss Cosmetics and Grandma's Old Fashion Butter Bunches, In The City Magazine stepped on the scene to see who would be supporting and taking home those awards this season.

Ahead of the the show, host Britney The Brand, kept the crowd entertained with a mini artist showcase called the Sound Stage Performances from artists B.U.D, All Is Well and NBT Wop.

Soon the countdown began and it was showtime, Dash Radio Host, HeadKrack, and Talk show host Carisha the Diva officially kicked it off in a major way with a live performance from previous cover star Laya. However the music didn't stop there. Hip Hop was definitely in the building with mid show performances from Young Dro, Yung La and Roscoe Dash.

Along with several promotions and dedications to major sponsors, there was also a heartfelt dedication for Annette Bibbyoliver, who passed away earlier this year.

Everyone seemed to be all the way turnt up, especially the winners from the evening. However the energy in the building was that of inspiration and support. Dr. Mya Edmonds, took home the Entrepreneuer of the Year Award and couldn't help but feel the ATL swag from Young Dro's Performance.

"It takes a team to make it happen," she shared. "You can get what you want and when you ask for it, get ready because God wants to show up and show out in your life, just like Young Dro did on this stage."
